Being afraid is the opposite of breakthrough….

God bless you,

I read this quote on facebook and it fascinates me, when I read this I thought about Peter.

“Too often we don’t walk through the doors God opens for us because we’re afraid we’re not qualified”. #KeepWalking -Sheryl Brady

Matthew 14:22-33 KJV 22 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. 23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone. 24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. 25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. 26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. 27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. 28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. 29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? 32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. 33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

First as we can read they were in middle of the sea where the wind was contrary, Secondly Jesus decided in the fourth watch to walk toward them (walking over the waters) after this Jesus spoke unto the waters and wind. And now it is; Peter couldn’t believe his eyes, so instead of believing he needed proof and ask Jesus if it is really Him, to bid him come towards Jesus. Jesus does do.  So Peter gets out of the boat and starts walking towards Jesus but then he get’s afraid and begins to drawn. He cried, saying Lord, save me and immediately Jesus stretch His hand forth and caught him. So Jesus saith to him come, he goes out of the boat gets afraid and began sinking. So instead of keep walking he doubt what could happen. He let his faith get disturb.

Sometimes we are just like Peter, instead of believing what God’s plan for us is, we begin to doubt everything. Ooh Lord, I can’t I’m a dropout of school, people won’t listen to what I have to say, I’m not qualified for the position You want me in and so on. Those are excuses. Get over this issues and keep walking, because God is on your side, no need to be afraid, in fact no time to be afraid. Believe believe believe. God is good all the time. If you want to get to the other side of the river (your breakthrough), just keep walking and trust in the Spirit of the Lord. You will get your breakthrough when you stop being afraid. Being afraid means your holding yourself for what is to come.

God bless you

With loving regards
