Imitating Christ humility!

God bless you,

In todays writing I want to remind you of the fact that Jesus didn’t come to earth only to die but He came also to be an example. A while ago I posted an post called “Manual: How does it work?” Today I want you to have an vision about what I am about to write. Jesus, when He came to earth to be Human He didn’t had a manual, but He sure had God. He was obedient and had a strong relationship with God. He prayed an talked with God and practice everything He knew that will please His Father. Jesus carried all the fruits of the Holy Ghost with Him and practice every single one of them.

Galatians 5:22-23 KJV 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

If we take another look at the scripture in the books of Philippians 2:1-11 KJV 1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, 2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The script talks here about having the same love Jesus did have for us, to be like-minded and one in Spirit. As we know everything Jesus does for us is for our own good.  He didn’t do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. What He did was value others above Himself even thou He was the son of He God and they spit on Him, He got beaten still He thought Father forgive them because they don’t know. Even thou He knew He will be crucified, that didn’t stop Him to preach the Gospel.

example: now a days we say we love each other but only with words and not with acts. Picture this you have 2 bread left and you have 2 kids and your neighbour tells you she is out of bread and asks you if you have one for them. What will your answer be: I only have two for my own kids, or you will give them 1 bread and the one you have left you will split between your 2 kids. (their can be other scenarios) think about Jesus when He had to feet a multitude of 5000 people with 5 bread and 2 fish. Furthermore we get inpatient with each other, get into fight maybe even killing. I don’t recall Jesus killing nobody. When Mary Magdalene (the adulteress John 8:1-11) came forward to Jesus, the people who wore present stoned her but Jesus stop it and prevent her of dying. His love is so big, He give second chances, His mercy and grace is with us. He has been there where we are now and we don’t do nothing about it. If you don’t do nothing you can’t progress and grow spiritually. If you really want to follow Jesus, you have to follow His footsteps. preach the gospel, practice the fruits of the Holy Ghost in your daily live and if your in a situation where as person would snap, think what would Jesus do right now. There is always an answer let your life be guide by the Holy Ghost. Try imitating Jesus in your every move.

Be blessed,

With loving regards,

S.Domitilia
