God bless you,
There are times we are desperate for Jesus to turn things around in our lives. That He heals you, provide for you, to help you out the mess and chaos that is going on around you. Your heart is broken you still can give Him a worship but still it is not enough for Him to change your situation. What is wrong with this? Ha let me tell you this, I recently learned that Jesus is not moved by desperation and He cannot be manipulated by our worship. Don’t get me wrong worship has to be our daily bases, but sometimes we use worship only to create a atmosphere so Jesus can deliver something to us. The bible tells a story of a Canaanite woman in the Gospel of Matthew chapter 15 verses 21 till 28
Matthew 15:21-28 NIV
21 Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David,have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.” 23 Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.” 24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” 25 The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said. 26 He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.” 27 “Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.” 28 Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.
In another translation (The message translation) the bible tells the same story using other words it written like this;
21-22 From there Jesus took a trip to Tyre and Sidon. They had hardly arrived when a Canaanite woman came down from the hills and pleaded, “Mercy, Master, Son of David! My daughter is cruelly afflicted by an evil spirit.” 23 Jesus ignored her. The disciples came and complained, “Now she’s bothering us. Would you please take care of her? She’s driving us crazy.” 24 Jesus refused, telling them, “I’ve got my hands full dealing with the lost sheep of Israel.” 25 Then the woman came back to Jesus, went to her knees, and begged. “Master, help me.” 26 He said, “It’s not right to take bread out of children’s mouths and throw it to dogs.” 27 She was quick: “You’re right, Master, but beggar dogs do get scraps from the master’s table.” 28 Jesus gave in. “Oh, woman, your faith is something else. What you want is what you get!” Right then her daughter became well.
Prayer and worship are things we got to have daily in our life. But this is not all you need to have, you got to have faith, even if it is as little as a mustard grain. When you read the story, it says that Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon and that a Canaan woman came unto Him bagging for her daughters life. As we all know you only bag in time of desperation, when you really need something, when it is out of control for you to get it yourself. As you keep reading, after the woman bagged Jesus, Jesus didn’t respond to her. The only thing He replied was that He came for the lost sheep of Israel. Now the woman is in desperation and the only thing Jesus could have replied didn’t make sense to her situation, it had nothing to do with her. The story keep telling us that after this it didn’t stop the woman, she then knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said. So she had a prayer a worship because she is kneeling and surrendering all to Jesus, knowing that He is the only one Whom can do everything.
Jesus than said to her; “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.” And as for she, she replies back and respond “Yes it is, Lord,” she said. “Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”
And now it comes, something Jesus couldn’t say no to and couldn’t be still of the woman showed great faith in Him.. After the woman said those word to Jesus He now responded to her according her situation and told her in verse 28;
28 Then Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed at that moment.
So the woman was in a crisis, she had a chaos going on it was confusing but still she didn’t give up. She believed, she had faith in which Jesus respond. You can get desperate but this does not mean that Jesus has to move. You can get your worship together bit still it doesn’t manipulate Jesus and does not mean He has to move by it. But when you are desperate and you seek God in worship and with Faith, without giving up, chasing after Him… This is reason enough for Him to respond in your situation.
You know everything you ask in desperation is good to you but is not good for you. So thank God he doesn’t give you the things you ask for in desperation. So Prayer-Worship-Faith the all go together, it’s like peanut butter and jelly. They are one master key for your crisis and chaos.
So be blessed,
With loving regards,
