Christmas: The best gift ever

God bless you,

This morning I wanna talk about the best gift one could receive or give this Christmas. God knew that we needed a Savior. You see in the past, at the beginning God created the world. But then the world was filled with sin and God decided to make a new beginning by letting Noah build a Ark and move in it.(The Ark would represent the church where we can move in and be save under the wings of God) After cleaning up God made a covenant with Noah and the earth, He first blessed noah and his sons and said to them to be fruitful and fill the earth. This is the covenant Genesis 9:8-17

Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him: “I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you10 and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you—every living creature on earth. 11 I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”

12 And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”

17 So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth.”

You see back in times the punishment for sins and wrongdoings was dead. But God had another way. He didn’t wan’t us to die so He had Joseph and Mary up for the job to carry His Son (prophecy given by Micah and Isaiah) Matthew 1:18-24/ Matthew 2:1-13 He sent His son for us so we could receive salvation. He took all of the sin upon Him and took it to the cross and all who believe in received and will receive salvation. (John 3:16)

Now in verse 17 is Says; 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

1 Peter 1:3 says “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,…”

gift-1

There are many meaning to the word Christmas: How precious, what a gift that God has given to us. Christ has given Himself as a Reward so that each Individual will know the Sacrifices He did for Mankind/ for you to Achieve Salvation; This is the gift of Christmas to you. When you spell the main letters you’ll read CHRISTMAS

Another meaning to Christmas would be: If you think about Christ and what He stand for it will be, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, forgiving the guilty, welcoming the stranger and the unwanted child, caring for the ill, loving your enemies and going to the mass

Bottom line is that through Christ you will receive salvation. Today if you have not accepted Jesus yet as your Savior I would like you to join me in this prayer; “Father God I know I wasn’t the easiest one when it comes down to accepting your word, your love, your mercy and grace but today I recognise Jesus Christ as Your Son and will accept Him in my heart. Help me to obey your word and live according to it. I ask you to give me your Holy Spirit as Counsellor and Guider in Jesus Name I pray, Amen. Now is up to you to find a good church where they celebrate Jesus to join and be a part of the family just like in the story of Noah. 😉

Be blessed.

With loving regards,

S.Domitilia
