Hey there, I greet you in the Mighty name of Jesus Christ. Today I just want lay my concerns before you.
In the past few weeks you here on the news that there is lot going on. People are dying all over the world, it may be cancer or another fatal disease, it may be by a gone shooting, it may be an attack on their nation, it be may anything, but in the end it is the same they are all death. Families and loved ones are left behind. Christians are being persecuted and executed by other believes. We ask ourself why this is happening, you may even encounter yourself in a time of despair. You lose all sense of hope and don’y know where to turn to.
I’m taking my text from the book of Habakkuk (chapter 1-3). Habakkuk was a prophet and in the first chapter you can read about Habakkuk’s first complaint and he cries out about the violence and the injustice happening. He said “Destruction and violence are before me; there is strife, and conflict abounds.” And Lord’s answer is in verse 5 of chapter 1 ““Look at the nations and watch— and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.” (continue reading the rest the Lord has told him in chapter 1 verse 5-11)
Than Habakkuk has a second complaint. He doesn’t understand how the everlasting God that will never die can permit the treacherous things that are happening in the world. (Habakkuk 1: 12-17) Than the Lord answered again and replied;
2 Then the Lord replied:
“Write down the revelation
and make it plain on tablets
so that a herald[b] may run with it.
3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time;
it speaks of the end
and will not prove false.
Though it linger, wait for it;
it[c] will certainly come
and will not delay.
In the final chapter of Habakkuk he is telling God that he heard about God’s fame the wonders and deeds He only can do and He is praying for God’s mercy.
We may encounter storms, we may experience earth quakes, floods and death but God will fulfill His promises made to us. You must hold on to your faith in Him and keep his words in your heart. Blessed are the ones who lose their life for the cause of God because they will find it. (Matthew 5:10)
Here are some scriptures that will help: Stand fast, be firm and be on your guard.
Psalm 23:4 “Even though I walk through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
Matthew 24: 4-14 4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
Luke 21:34-36 34 “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. 35 For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth. 36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”
1 Thessalonians 5:1-6 Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
4 But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5 You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 6 So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.

Shalom, “peace to you, do not fear, you shall not die.” (Judges 6:23)
