Friend: “I’m fine”

Hey there this is a new week with new opportunities. May God bless you and that you’ll find favour in the sight of God and men. Today I’m going to talk about friends (friendship), it could be the next upcoming  series but for now just this one topic. Today’s topic is ” I’m fine “.

Sometimes we find ourself in a pit, in  a condition where we need help. We need people to carry us to Jesus, so that He can forgive us (again) and heal us from our  lameness. There is a remarkable story being told in the bible about a man that was paralyzed.

Mark 2:1-3 A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home. They gathered in such large numbers that there was no room left, not even outside the door, and he preached the word to them. Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them” .

Some men came (four of them), assuming they were his friends, they came carrying the paralyzed man. First off all they knew the man, the knew his condition and together they knew he needs Jesus. So even the people had gathered in large numbers and the fact that there was no room left, not even outside the door, it didn’t stop them.

I must say I’m very happy with my surroundings. My husband covers me as I cover him. I have friends “Sisters” that know me for who I am and they are willing to stand by me whatever it takes. We cover each other in prayer, when we need to say something that may have hurt or we just didn’t like the way something happened, it doesn’t make us feel offended by it or less. We forgive, we seek options, we talk things through and we move one. We grow closer. We don’t just give up on the friendship because we didn’t like certain things. Everyday we have we get know each other better and know how every character is. I’m happy with leaders that will cover me in prayer and hear me out as I cover them in prayer and hear them out. (I guess I needed to get this part out as well) But coming back to the main topic the bible continues saying in

Mark 2:4-5 Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”

So these four men made an opening in the roof and then lowered the mat the man was laying on. Again the recognised the condition there friend was in, they knew they couldn’t do nothing but to bring him to Jesus. The text says when Jesus saw their faith.. meaning that He didn’t see the paralyzed man his faith but all of them who were their with him. So this man is making an entrance through to roof thanks to his friends and now the continuation..

Mark 2:6-12 Now some teachers of the law were sitting there, thinking to themselves, “Why does this fellow talk like that? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

Immediately Jesus knew in his spirit that this was what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them, “Why are you thinking these things? Which is easier: to say to this paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, take your mat and walk’? 10 But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the man, 11 “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” 12 He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and they praised God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”

There will always be critic, you see Jesus was explaining Himself to the teachers, clarifying their thoughts! And the text continuing by saying that Jesus told the man to get up, to take his mat and to go home. And the man did all what Jesus commanded him an walked out in full view of them all. Everyone amazed and now praising God.

I love this story because:

  • Entrance: the man was lowered through to roof, because he was paralyzed. He couldn’t do it himself and needed friends who can bring him somewhere.
  • Exit: He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all. (You see first he needed help but now he is fine. He can carry the mat himself

“The mat used to carry me in, but now I am getting up and will carry it out.”

  • Entrance: He needed his friends to help him get to Jesus
  • Exit: Now he is fine, he doesn’t need help.

“I need to be able to tell you I’m fine, without you getting offended by it”

This story could’ve be completely different if the friends were in the same condition as the paralyzed man. Who would’ve carry whom. None of them would have been able to help one and other.

When look at the process of the hospital;

  • It starts by you getting checked in  (by loved ones, people that care about your health),
  • The second thing you know you are being placed into a room with other sick patience and on that floor we are all sick.

Therefore you have nurses and doctors that are trying their very hard best to help you out of the condition you are in and up to your feed so you can get checked out and go home. It will cost the hospital a lot if you stay in for a long time, it may also cost another their life cause there is no place to check them in. So if we are sick and gather with sick people we are just a group of sick people. After a while it becomes normal that everyone associated to that group is someone with any kind of sickness

  • So that is why the final step is to get you in a good condition where you go home and be checked out of the hospital.

It is proven that if people are in environment where they feel at home they tend to get well faster or live longer than to stay into the hospital.

But to come back to the point where you to have friends that are able to set aside differences and needs to see you of good. And when you are good you now can help others get well as well.

It is not for nothing that Psalms 1:1 says Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,..”

Mark 2;1-11

It is very important to know who you are connected to, what they can bring to the table! You need to be yourself while with them without it comprising the fact that when you need to speak up you can’t really say what is on your because it may affect the relationship. If we are friends and I can’t tell you about something that doesn’t fit, why we are friends than? It’s a question that needs to be considerate in every relationship.

Often you see in films and movies if an operation has been compromised that they need the abort the mission. In this case the Chief Commander is God and if you need to say something and you can’t because of the consequences you need to rethink the position you are in and abort the friendship. You are being held back and can’t grow and move forward like this. Sometimes it is necessary to let some people go, they fulfilled their purpose in your life.

If I can say something to you, without it making you quit me , you aren’t for me. And if I can’t correct you without you leaving me, you aren’t for me.

“Don’t hold on unto someone that wasn’t supposed to stay in your life forever.”

Are just going to keep on weeping on what was and isn’t or will you walk with what is?

“Don’t mourn longer than you need to. Move on..”

God has a plan and purpose for you (Jeremiah 29:11 “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”🙂 and it may notplay out the way you expected it. But remember Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.”

Thank God for friendship!

God bless you and keep you.

Rebuilding is a process

Hey there today I’m writing you from the thought that sometimes we find ourself connected the wrong people and in that moment you don’t see what the damage is. The text is based on Nehemiah 2 en 1 Peter 5:8

There need to be breakage before healing. Nothing is rebuild overnight. When God leaves you in the fire is because that’s the only way you can see God. When you can shout in the furnace you can shout when you get out. God provides revelation in the situation. Maybe the prayer your praying doesn’t need to be change my situation but give me revelation.

The most vulnerable time in ones life is when you are tired and gave everything away. the devil has time to wait on a opportunity to sneak in and if you are off guard it will bring you down. Small gesture can bring down great people. When you are tired everybody that pretend to listen will do. everybody that says anything nice to you, you will be attracted to. Bad company corrupts good character. Bad company on a long term will affect your health, your finance and your strength. It will cause you to feel as if you are in the lowest moment of your life.)non deserving of God’s love, this is a lie of the devil)  It’s the feeling like hanging on a cord without getting any air, it is the feeling of being scared that the cord will break and cause a separation between you and God.That is why we need to be alert and of sober mind. cause the enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8.

Sometimes the things that seems to be of no harm will be harmful.  Sometimes we overestimate or strength just to find out that the place we are in we are selling ourself short. We need to back off and seek God.

As a person that has the calling of leadership on your life and you are functioning as leader you can not let everybody in your space. Some people will take from you without putting it back.(strength, energy , ideas…) They suck the energy out of you. they bring you down for Satan’s pleasure. Satan uses people to get what he wants. He will laugh at you in your down moment. When he thinks you don’t have the strength to get up he will find peace. But as soon as you plan to start rebuilding all hell is going to break loose. He will use strategies to bring you down. (he will ridicule you, intimidate you, scare you.. but satan’s plans are not unknown for those who pray and seek God)

  1. A leader must spend a lot of time alone. (Neh. 2:11) Sometimes you have to go apart before you fall apart. You have to unload before you overload. When you are alone you can hear from God. In your solitude you can get a plan and power.
  2. A leader takes the time to gather the necessary information/facts (Neh. 2:13). If you don’t have the facts you will make the wrong decision based only on your feelings.
  3. A leader understand the devil plan and the divine plan is based on details. If you are not a detail-oriented you will mess your life up. A leader pays attention to the details but is not bogged down in the details. You cannot rebuild while micromanaging everything and everybody.
  4. A leader understand that timing and words are important. (Neh. 2:16) Sharing information to soon gives people the time to come up with reasons why your idea won’t work. Be careful who you trust your good stuff too. Have a strategy. The devil sure as hell will have one.
  5. A leader must always focus on the big picture. 2:15
  6. A good leader knows how to motivate people
  7. A good leader knows when to confront the enemy.

Testimony:

While I was going through my now cancelled divorce procedure, I was down, this action of mine caused me a lot of stress I was loosing weight. It caused me my energy. In that time I connected with a person who I confided somethings cause my emotion were all over the place and you could read them of my face. Without noticing this person was trying to pretend to care by saying nice things like I understand, if you need to talk I’m here. Sooner than I expected I was constantly messaging on whats-app. Without knowing I was being carried away. I was feeling tired the whole time, couldn’t give anyone no motivational word, my problems were growing bigger. The demand and the feeling of obligation towards the wrong person began to grow. It was like this person couldn’t be missed in my life.. But the one Person I couldn’t be separated from was the love of God. So I decided that whatever that I can get from God I would take, if it is the same song I will praise Him with, if it is same sentence “Help me Lord” I would say. In my silence I would here Him over and over “Stop talking, Stop exposing yourself, don’t look back” Than one day when I had enough of fighting my own will vs. God’s will, after a service on sunday I messaged this person and I said you are withholding me from God, I choose no longer to give you my time. I’m choosing God over you. I have know broken that line of connection that was causing frequency damage. The truth to be told after this action I missed talking to this person it was as if this person has gotten under my skin. This person became to important in my life just to find out that I was blinded and of guard. Know that I’m aware of this I thank God that he brought me out of the mess I’ve created for myself. I’m free, not looking back. I’m going forward with Jesus in front of me behind me and next to me.

Be blessed,

Blessings & Friends..

God bless you,

This morning (day) I want to write you about the reality that we sometimes encounter ourself in. The fact that you ask God to bless someone and the fact you wish them all the best in every area of their life and than when God does so it seems like you are getting mad about the fact that God blessed the brother or the sister but you have been left out. Suddenly you don’t know how to treat them right and with respect because all your mind is focused on is the blessing they just got. (I’m really writing to someone) Sometimes you have friends that wishes you all the best and when God takes you to another level they suddenly cannot handle you anymore. This life everyone has to live individually, everybody grows individually, salvation is individually, so you cannot expect us to be on the same level constantly. It is not a competition, because in every stage there is something to learn a test to pass.

Sometimes you don’t even realise what struggles and demons someone had to fight before getting where they are in life today. The only thing you think is God I’ve been living good, obedient, I’ve been doing everything according the scripture but still you blessed them instead of me. In the story of the prodigal son at some point the oldest son said to his father all this time i’ve been working hard for you, i’ve been on your side and now this son of yours comes home he spend all his money on whores and you go out and throw him a feast? The father replied to him; “31-32 “His father said, ‘Son, you don’t understand. You’re with me all the time, and everything that is mine is yours—but this is a wonderful time, and we had to celebrate. This brother of yours was dead, and he’s alive! He was lost, and he’s found!’” (Luke 11:31-32) In this story you can see that this youngest son struggled with life after he wasted all his money and than come to the realisation that if I work for my father I may have food to eat at the end of the day.

realness

Testimony: I was away for some time handling some things that had to be dealt with. It required from that often I was on the road to have this done in orde for me to get home. One Sunday I get a message that a old fried heard that I was in town but that she didn’t see me, but when she heard I’m on the road with someone else who was helping me at the time with all of these business I had on y plate she got jealous. This friend is someone that I hadn’t spoke with in years we used to be close but know we are on another scale of friendship. I told her that I was not on vacation and that I was in town for business and that time is short for me to visit all these people that expect me to come by. I know that in the time I was off that God hands and favor went before me, doors were opening in such a way that you could see difference, you could have seen God’s glory, so I know what it was what she felt. The point here is we are to caught up to see how others are doing life and forgetting to focus on or own and than blessings come and you aren’t ready for it.

This is what I want to close with its a scripture in 1 Corinthians 13:1-7

“If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don’t love, I’m nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate. If I speak God’s Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, “Jump,” and it jumps, but I don’t love, I’m nothing.3-7 If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love.

This is what the bible says love thy neighbour as you love yourself. If you can’t love them you have to self search the intentions of thine heart. Check your limit of love before going of blessing everybody and you don’t mean them well to get blessed by the abundance of God.

You may be mad at me for writing this but I want you to realise it and stop looking at life as if someone stole something from you. You have to be openhearted, real in love in order for God to bless you fully.

Be blessed.

With loving regards,

S.Domitilia

Watch out, it’s a trap!!!

God bless you,

Today I just want you to be alert on the people you let in your inner circle. Jesus had a great multitude following Him. People who needed to be healed, who needed to be set free and those who just wanted to hear and learn more of the wise Words He had to share. Jesus is the Son of God. He came into the world in His human form did everything the Father told Him to. He was obedient in everything and was in constant prayers with God. As the multitude was growing and Jesus had more followers because the great things He was doing; the Pharisees and the Sadducees began to feel threatened by Him. They wanted to catch Jesus on His own words and His own deeds. But who can fool Jesus (God) nobody;… He knew what was going in the minds of the Pharisees and Sadducees so they didn’t get the chance. They were plotting plots after plot. The Pharisees felt threatened because of the Power Jesus had, because everyone started following Him, at some point the Pharisees thought who is this Man, coming into our town and taking over what is ours. When someone has power they need to feel that they are in control, but now they didn’t get the attention as needed. Everyone was to busy following the Great I Am; Jesus the Son of God, they were hunger and thirsty for what He had. So this mad the Pharisees furious..

While reading this passage, I was thinking people never gets tired of competing with each other, they want everything good of other without the willingness to give. They feel threatened by you because they think you are better, you get all the attention, you got the promotion etc. It’s a very bad habit. If you are working for the kingdom of God, you are contributing to it. Doesn’t matter if the one is a leader, worshipper, deacon, senior pastor; we all have the same goal.

The goal is to help edify the Kingdom of God. To help others to be free from bondage as you has been set free. He came for everyone! (not just a selection)

Matthew 22;15

Matthew 22:15-22 (NIV)

Paying the Imperial Tax to Caesar

15 Then the Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap him in his words. 16 They sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians.“Teacher,” they said, “we know that you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are. 17 Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay the imperial tax to Caesar or not?”

18 But Jesus, knowing their evil intent, said, “You hypocrites, why are you trying to trap me? 19 Show me the coin used for paying the tax.” They brought him a denarius, 20 and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?”

21 “Caesar’s,” they replied.

Then he said to them, “So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”

22 When they heard this, they were amazed. So they left him and went away

In this same chapter if you keep reading you will find that on this same day also the Sadducees approached Jesus.

Jesus was flawless, but they wanted to find faults and wrongs in Him so they could catch Him on it!

Be blessed.

With loving regards,

S.Domitilia
