Hungry and Thirsty

God bless you,

Today you may read the title and think that I’m talking about food. Or that I am in need of food. But I’m not talking about bread nor water. I’m talking about the Well of Salvation and about every Word that comes out of God’s mouth. You know this may sound funny but there are times you are craving for something you don’t even know what it is. You are longing for something but you can’t find it. You want to fulfil a need, desire but you don’t know where to start so you may achieve it. You talk with lots of people each of one tell you something different than what you need to here. That one word that keeps you thinking acting towards it.

Today I’m going to take two parts of the scripture to illustrate to you that you need Jesus. (I need Him to) Not only your flesh, your human body needs food so it don’t dehydrate; but the spiritual part needs food to.

John chapter 4 verse 10 – 15

10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? 12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? 13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. 15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.

Jesus was in Judaea He left, and departed again into Galilee. During this trip He had to go through Samaria. He send His disciple to go into the city so they can bring something to eat. In the meanwhile Jesus went to sit next to a well, where He encounter this woman of Samaria. She came to pull water out of the well. That is when Jesus started to talk to her despite their differences. Jesus asked her for some to drink. The woman replied saying that “How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me,….” this is when Jesus offer her something yet much better than she could even imagine. Living water, water that shall be unto you and me a well of water springing up into everlasting life. When you drink from this water Jesus Him self  you will not thirst anymore.

When you read the Bible it speaks to you in so much kind of ways, that every you need you have shall be answered. Every craving you have there will be and answer a portion out of the Bible that will fulfil the need. If it’s something wrong you craving after pray about it and let the Holy Spirit take it away and fulfil you with the Godly things, things God desire from you.

When Jesus was tempted in the desert by satan and he tried to get Him to change the stones into bread Jesus replied;

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Deuteronomy 8:3)

So every word based on the Bible spoken to you, will speak life unto you. It doesn’t matter how God comes in; if it is through a song, a preaching or through someone who gave you a motivational text. God will find a way  only if you want to let Him in. By this I mean only when you recognise that everything you consumed didn’t fulfil your cravings and that God the only One is that can do so. Be like the Samaritan woman that said unto Jesus; “give me of this water, that I thirst not,..”

Hope you’ve been refreshed by this word. God bless you.

With loving regards,

S.Domitilia
